February 2010 Newsletter

Love is in air. We are now in the month of February where we get to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us.

Events this month:
Feb. 14th. Is Valentines’s Day. Many of the students like to hand out cards to their friends. If you would like to do so, a class list will be available. The children get excited when they receive a token of friendship from their friends. We will be making special bags.
On Thursday, February 25th. 2010, we will be having our first geography/cultural fair. Parents are encouraged to participate in large number to support their child. Further information will be provided soon.
Tuition:
Tuition is due before the first day of each month. $15.00 late fee will be charged if the payment is up to 5 days late.

School closed:
On Monday,Feb15th. the school will be closed for the President’s day holiday.
March 5th.(Friday),the school will be closed for New Jersey Montessori teachers’ workshop day.
Toddler class:
This month’s theme is basic shapes, such as circles, squares, triangles, etc. We are also going to continue doing letter sounds, our sound for this month is “k, please bring in a picture, or drawing starting with “k” sound.
3-6class news:
The 3-6 year classroom is studying about birds this month. Children will be learning names of different kinds of birds and their characteristics, which will be followed by some art projects. They will also be learning about some facts about birds like how do birds keep themselves warm, why do they migrate in winter, etc.
