February 2008 Newsletter

This month is art month!

The children will be doing many different art projects. We have planned many fun activities for this month.

Our Science Fair was lots of fun. Parents and children prepared some interesting science projects and brought them in to school to share with their friends. There were many stations to visit as the children and parents witnessed the “magic” of science. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to all who participated!

Events this month:

School closed:
President Day:
The school will be closed on Monday February 18th. for President’s Day.

N.J.Montessori Teachers’ Conference Day:
On Friday, Feb.29th. All the teachers will attend N.J. Montessori Teacher s’ Conference. We will get more ideas to enrich our program. There will be no school on that day, please mark your calendar.

Art Fair:

We will be having an art fair on Friday Feb.22 from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

The children will be doing different art projects through out the month and the parents are encouraged to come in and see how artistic our children really are! We also encourage our parents do art activities with your child at home and you are welcome to bring art works from home to display in the art show. Lunch Reminder: Please pack your child’s lunch with a spoon and fork in it.

Toddler Class: Although we have been working with numbers, this month, we will be focusing on numbers and counting.

3 - 6 class: This month our class will be learning about the solar system. We will be learning about the different planets in detail.
