March Newsletter 2010
Spring is around the corner, it's a time of changes and a renewing of season. The weather outside is getting warmer and we will soon be visiting the playground. Please dress your Child appropriately.
The Geography Fair was a huge success due to the parents’ efforts and support. Our Children had a meaningful and wonderful experience, visiting different countries and getting their "passports" stamped.
School Events:
We are having a very busy month in March; parents please mark your calendar for school events.
(No school) Friday March 5th, is our annual NJMAC Teacher Conferences. This is a wonderful time for teachers to learn new concepts and meet new friends. We are going to attend some workshops such as.
- Circle Time - Music and Movement for Toddlers
- Training the Brain—Montessori and the Feldenkrais Method,
- Understanding Each Child’s Development in “PEACS”
- The Only Three Discipline Strategies You Will Ever Need--A Teacher to Teacher
Survival Guide for What Works in a Pre-school Classroom
- Motivating the Unmotivated
we are looking forward to sharing our new ideas with the Children in the classroom.
Open House:
Saturday, March 13th is our open house. Friends and Family are invited to join us on that day from 12:00-2:00pm
Immunization Records:
We are required by the Health Department to update our Children's Immunization Records. Please take the time to fill out the given form and return it to the teachers.
Parent Teacher Conference:
Friday, March 26 is PTC day. Please mark your calendar! There will be a sign up sheet available for you to make an appointment with your Child's Teacher. There will be an early dismissal (no after school program).
Spring Break:
March 29th-April 2nd (Day Care for full and extended care available , some restrictions apply). Enjoy!!
School policy:
If you wish for your child to attend school for an event on the day that he/she is not attend, notify a teacher. Please note, if you wish your child remain at the school after an event, please check with the teachers or Ms.Grace for the availability, there is a $5.00 fee per hour charge.
3-6 Class:
We want to welcome spring by focusing on spring, and leaves.
Literacy Week would be celebrate want to welcome spring by focusing on spred from March 8th-March 19th. Our Teacher's will emphasis on the importance of reading books through author studies. Literacy week will be concluded on Friday, March 19th with "Breakfast with Books".

Toddlers:
our last month’s theme was a success, our toddler's enjoyed learning about shapes, and shapes in our environment.
This month's theme is the beautiful season of spring, and of flowers.
Also a reminder to the toddler parents, to continue to bring in pictures, or drawings for the sound of the month. The new sound for March is "n" sound.
